“The staff is Wonderful”

My brother’s and myself feel our mother is receiving excellent care at TLCSR.  Prior to living here our mother lived in an assisted living facility.  She was pretty much on her own. (Assistance with housekeeping and meals)  Her health has declined and TLCSR assists with all her needs.  The staff is wonderful.  … Very loving, always making her feel special, we always feel welcome.

“What is most impressive is the quality of the employees.”

What is most impressive about TLCSR is the quality of the employees.  They are without exception competent, willing, pleasant, and affectionate without being disrespectful.  I try to visit my mom during meals and have always been impressed by the healthiness and attractiveness of the meals.  My mom was super independent and we were concerned about her adapting to a group setting, but the transition was easy.  The employees make her feel comfortable and valued.  My mom has had medical emergencies that TLCSR handled exceptionally well.
PS. Three other residents read this and agreed whole heartedly with my opinions.

“High staff to patient ratio”

My family wanted a healthy and safe environment for our mother to live other than her own home.  We feel that the small patient to nurse ratio (high staff to patient ratio) is very important and its very family oriented as we always feel welcome to visit at anytime. My mom’s progress has been impressive since arriving at TLCSR and she is very comfortable in this setting. Finding this location was a godsend for our family and our mother.

“Would be great if all group homes were like TLCSR.”

Enjoy coming to this group home.  Excellent care to the residents as it should be, staff are very caring and attentive, residents appear clean, well groomed and happy, all are doing what they enjoy doing, talking,  active and interacting with other residents and staff, Home is beautiful and clean.  Staff always are willing to continue to learn new things.  Would be great if all group homes were like TLCSR.

“OT Occupational Therapist”

As a home health Occupational Therapist, I treat patients in many group homes around the Las Vegas valley. After treating two of residents at Tender Loving Care Senior Residence over the last five weeks I wanted to let you know how impressed I am with this home.  The staff is often friendly but what I noted is their willingness to follow through with treatment recommendations from the therapy staff to improve function. Also the staff are very tuned into the medical needs of the residents and take quick action when informed of any medical concerns.  I also had opportunity to visit with most of the residents and without exception they quickly and openly sing the praises of the staff, the food and the caring attention they receive.  I wish I could say that this is normal but I have rarely found this to be true.  Because of my exceptionally positive experience I wanted to express to all of you what a difference TLCSR made for me.

“TLCSR is a great asset to the senior community”

I have been a Physician’s Assistant for 25 years, and have been in Geriatrics for the last 10 years, and have had the chance to see patients in many different facilities, including group homes.  I find Tender Loving Care Senior Residence to be one of the finest that I have seen. The home is beautiful and the grounds are well kept.

I find the staff to be very knowledgeable and attentive to the residents and the medical providers.  The caregivers have great attention to detail and it is obvious they genuinely enjoy their interactions with the residents.

Tender Loving Care Senior Residence is a great asset to the senior community in Las Vegas.

“God kissed me…”

God kissed me when he led me to TLC and I will be forever thankful.  The warmth, love and care have allowed me to breathe peacefully again.  Mom is taken care of in every respect.  She has a beautiful home, a comfortable private “suite”, good food, proper supervision of medicine and the most caring helpful staff.

I feel that mom’s health and mental status has improved due to all the care she has gotten while a resident at Tender Loving Care Senior Residence.  I hope they can continue to provide serenity to many families in need in the future and know that God will bless then in all their future endeavors.

“The guilt and stress have been released with reassurance of a caring reliable staff.”

I am happy to write a testimonial about Tender Loving Care Senior Residence (TLCSR).  My mother-in –law was in a group home previously and while it was a nice place it was not as nice as TLCSR.  When my friend asked me to check out TLCSR with her, when her mother needed to find a better place than the Assisted Living facility she lived at, I immediately knew TLCSR was a great place.  Now after having visited many times over a two month period it is hard to imagine going anywhere else. My friends’ mother now says “she will stay here forever and never wants to leave: As many of you know the fear of moving to a new place can be a difficult thing to overcome but I would reassure you that TLCSR is a place anyone’s parent would enjoy living.

The staff is always friendly and cooperative.  They make every resident feel special and also strive to improve the lives of the families who are also stressed during this difficult time.  I think the entire family benefits from TLCSR’s efforts.  Many grandchildren are often seen playing TV games ( WII and karaoke) and making welcome back of birthday signs with the residents.  The resident’s sons and daughters can relax and be sons and daughters instead of stressed caregivers.  I also notice that the administrator and owner, a doctor and nurse, assist residents and families in making doctor’s appointments.   I know my friend is quite pleased to get a more detailed explanation of what happened at the doctor’s visit and what to expect next.

My friend’s mother notes that one thing she values is that everyone listens to her and allows her to remain in control of her own life.  Unlike other group home my mother-in-law was in, the residents can stay up as late as they want and are welcomed by an awake and friendly caregiver when they wake up at night.  My friend’s mom really appreciates that when she is having a bad night.

Before finding TLCSR my friend’s mother was staying at an exclusive Assisted Living facility.  The total charge after adding up all of the “extras” totaled more than the base fixed rate at TLCSR.  I note that while the base rate seems higher at TLCSR than other places, in fact TLCSR is a much better value when you include all of the “extras” she paid at the Assisted Living Facility.  When I see all the service that TLCSR offers to my friend’s mother and her entire family it is a must have item in my book.

I suggest that anyone presently living in another care setting or considering moving to a more supportive care setting ( assisted Living, Group Home, Home Care, or Nursing Home) look at TLCSR as a choice before choosing something else.  Finding TLCSR was truly a blessing for my friend and her mother. The guilt and stress have been released with reassurance of a caring reliable staff.

The “Senior Residence” is a lovely, spacious,secure home with lovely grounds and is ideal for her.

When the health of my mother, age 96, began to fail my sister, brothers and I realized she could not longer live on her own, we searched for suitable facilities to meet her needs.  After inspecting dozens of facilities in Las Vegas, it became clear that the best place for our mother was Tender Loving Care Senior Residence – a realization that came quickly after our initial tour.  The “senior residence” is a lovely, spacious, secure home with lovely grounds and is ideal for her.  Owned by a doctor with Geriatric credentials and administered by a trained nurse, our mother now has expert medical attention available at all times. That most important factor, coupled with the steady, caring attention of the staff, gives us great comfort knowing our mother is in the best place we could have chosen for her.
